HiL Infrastructure Engineer

In partnership with Tata Technologies, we are seeking a HiL Infrastructure Engineer based in Prague. This is a full-time, on-site position in the automotive industry with the possibility of an immediate start.

Your responsibilities will be:

Design, develop, and maintain HIL test infrastructure for testing and validating E-Motor Controls Software

Lead device under test (DUT) preparation from DUT specification drafting till HIL commissioning and deployment for Software validation.

Develop and maintain Real-time models for fault emulation and plant model (E-Motor, Inverter, mechanical load…).

Develop and maintain automated test suites to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

Continuously analyse and improve test automation and coverage.

Prepare detailed technical documentation, including DUT specification, HIL commissioning checklist, HIL configuration management plan.

Report bugs and issues together with root-cause analysis where applicable.

Responsible on HIL test planner in collaboration with Software project Leaders and Software Validation engineers.

Interface with embedded software engineers, Motor control engineers, HW engineers for issue resolution.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, systems and HW engineers, and project managers, to ensure cohesive project progression.

Participate in the daily standup calls, weekly status, Sprint ceremonies.

Regular HiL KPIs reporting.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years in Test automation targeting closed-loop control system such as Inverter.

Good knowledge of control system design methods, electrical engineering systems, communication protocols (CAN), and real-time software development.

Experience with DSPACE HIL HW/SW solution (Real time PC and FPGA)

Strong understanding of analog (Temperature, AC/DC current & Voltages, Rotor Position), and digital circuits (PWM…).

Experience with Matlab, Simulink.

Experience with CANOE.

Experience in version control (Git).

SW test case definition V1.0

SW test case execution on HIL – Familiarity with test-driven development.

Fluent in both written and spoken English.

Education:

BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ECU Test, flashing and debugging over Trace32, UDS, XCP protocols, ISO26262 standard.

Knowing continuous integration (CI) systems.

Experience with NI hardware and software stacks.

Experience with requirement management tools, task management and planning tools like Jira.
