Job Description
As a Cost Leader for Light vehicles turbochargers, you will play a key role in cost analysis and bid preparation. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Bid Preparation & Cost Monitoring: Keep track of all cost items for Bids to help Sales Managers provide accurate and timely quotes. Be the main contact for Bid preparation and cost monitoring during product launches.
- Cost Reduction & Standardization: Create and promote plans to reduce costs and standardize product lines. Identify standard components to optimize BOM costs at the bid level.
- Cost Coordination & Analysis: Perform detailed cost analysis to support business goals. Monitor and report on cost trends and statistics to predict future cost gaps in bids.
- Change Management & Process Improvement: Evaluate the impact of changes and ensure customer teams recover costs during launch phases. Lead process improvement initiatives and provide training on cost aspects.
Requirements
- Working experience in the automotive industry or a similar field, with knowledge of costing activities, casting, and machining processes.
- Basic technical skills (able to read 2D drawings, understand 3D models and related processes).
- Intermediate experience with Excel.
