A new talent to join the leadership team who would be in charge of Retail department and who meets all of the following requirements:
- bachelor’s degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
3-5 years of retail or relevant experience;
knowledge and experience in people processes, tools and practices: recruitment, individual and team development, performance management, talent development, succession planning, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, etc.
ability to build strong working relationships, influence key decision makers and communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization;
strong initiative and problem-solving skills;
ability to manage a diverse workload and changing priorities;
good analytical skills and the ability to consolidate data into concise, executive-ready presentations and reports;
proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
fluency of English (written and spoken).
YOU WILL 💪 (“in a nutshell”)…
- manage and motivate a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency;
manage stock levels and making key decisions about stock control;
analyze sales figures and forecast future sales, organize special promotions, displays and events;
analyze and interpret trends to facilitate planning;
manage a 100+ people team such as interviewing potential staff, conduct apraisals and performance reviews, as well as talent development;
ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met;
update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues;
visit stores to ensure quality of service across the team;
maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understand forthcoming customer initiatives and monitor what competitors are doing;
initiate changes to improve the business, e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market;
promote the organization locally by liaising with local newspapers and the community in general.
