Job description

The perfect candidate for the position of Food and Beverage Manager:

  • Manages and supervises employees. manages all day-to-day operations. Understands employee jobs well enough to handle duties in the absence of staff.
  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication abilities to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates solid financial and business decision-making; demonstrates honesty and integrity; and leads by example.
  • Controls all aspects of the culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service operations.
  • Responds promptly and proactively to employee issues.
  • Encourages a learning environment with a focus on mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Identifies the brand’s service culture and ensures alignment among employees, team leaders, and managers.
  • Takes responsibility for a guest’s complaint or problem until it has been remedied or addressed by the relevant manager or staff.
  • Provides exceptional services to ensure customer happiness and retention.
  • Serves as a role model to demonstrate acceptable behavior.
  • Subordinates are guided and directed, with performance requirements established and monitored.
  • Identifies others’ educational needs
  • Ensures excellent departmental communication and information systems through logs, department meetings, and property meetings.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Requirements include a high school graduation or GED and 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professions.

OR

  • A 2-year degree from an approved university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a similar field. 2 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or similar professional fields.

  • Finance/Accounting: knowledge and understanding of financial knowledge, controls, inventory, costs, expenses, and all cash handling procedures and policies
