Are you an experienced Software Engineer who enjoys owning systems end‑to‑end, not just writing code and handing it over?

We are looking for a Software Engineer who will play a key role in the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of a core banking system. This is not a pure development role, it’s a senior‑minded position with real ownership and long‑term impact.

Czech language is NOT required. English is sufficient.

Job description

  • End‑to‑end implementation, maintenance and support of software solutions in an agile environment
  • Translating business requirements into functional and technical solutions
  • Development, configuration, testing, deployment and application integration
  • Operating and maintaining systems with a strong focus on performance, quality and security
  • Gradually taking ownership of a banking system and responsibility for its reliability
  • Working with cloud‑native technologies (AWS, Kubernetes)
  • Actively contributing to knowledge sharing, mentoring and communities of practice
  • Continuously learning and keeping up with market and technology trends

Requirements

  • Intermediate experience with Python and/or Java (knowledge of Spring is a strong advantage)
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with software quality assurance and testing
  • Hands‑on knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Awareness of application security principles
  • Understanding of systems, infrastructure and application architecture
  • Willingness to combine development with run & support responsibilities
  • Senior mindset: ownership, responsibility, reliability
