Overview

For our client we are looking for an experienced Network Engineer. The position is part of an international IT environment and focuses on the operation, development, and support of enterprise network infrastructure.

The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of the company’s network infrastructure. The role ensures stable, secure, and efficient network operations across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments and supports business needs in a global organization.

Job description

  • Administration and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN)
  • Configuration and support of switches, routers, and wireless controllers
  • Monitoring network performance and ensuring availability and reliability
  • Implementation of network changes, upgrades, and patches
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of complex network incidents
  • Acting as an escalation point for Tier 1 support
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and network diagrams
  • Cooperation with international IT teams on infrastructure projects

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and enterprise networking
  • Experience with Cisco technologies (IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS)
  • Experience with wireless networks (deployment and support)
  • Knowledge of WLAN and SD-WAN technologies
  • Basic knowledge of network security and NGFWs
  • Experience with scripting or automation (Python, Ansible) is an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT
  • At least 3 years of experience with Cisco routers and switches
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Cisco certification (CCNA or higher) preferred
  • Good communication skills in English
