Job description
- This role manages transactional transportation activities, enable CAS to focus on customer service activities and L&D in HQ SC to focus on TPSP management & strategic optimization
- First point of contact for CAS and Carriers on operational transportation activities
- Handles various issues with carriers, analyzing, interpreting, processing and responding to CAS
- Monitoring and troubleshooting of Transport Management activities in SAP TM/ SAP EM/ Transporeon system
- Provide analysis and solutions to mitigate potential transportation issues impacting customers
- Escalate trend of carrier operational issue to overland advisor/coordinator in HQ SC
- Ensure individual compliance with all Safety and Security rules and processes
- Ensure full compliance with all controls requirements and company policies
- Ensure operations are carried out flawlessly and in line with KPIs set by the Chemical organization
- Behave and act in line with the Strategic Priorities set by the Chemical L&D organization
- Responsible for daily monitoring and troubleshooting of Transport Management activities (TM planning, freight order tendering, creation of delivery and shipment)
- Focal point for logistics operational escalation, Customer Service, Carrier and Warehouse/Terminal relationship management
- Where possible, shares industry trend information with CS
- Advises CAS in case of late deliveries or missed deliveries as well as alternate carrier/quantity change if necessary; troubleshoot other carrier’s issues as turndowns, supply point changes, etc.
- Locates carriers to cover rush shipments; follow-up to ensure the order is received and executed by carrier
- Contacts carriers to understand missed/late deliveries and reschedule
- May provide support with regards to slot management (Transporeon) – booking and troubleshooting (interface with loading site and prioritize shipments)
- Requests proof of delivery (PoD) if necessary by CAS/customers
- Support Product Returns process in TM
- OSG maintenance including changes in carrier or in MoT, update and maintain Order Size Guidelines (OSG) tables, monitoring/coordinating of compliance with optimum quantity
- Establish new supply point to ship-to truck routes, maintain truck carriers route masters in GEMS
- Request TM master data related changes to DAS (transportation lanes and zones, vehicle resources, incompatibilities, business partners)
- Systems interface monitoring and troubleshooting non-IT, data and processing related issues, testing of TM fixes and enhancements, escalation of the issue to DAS organization
- Assist on GBOIMS 8 carrier assessments
- Support management of change with respect to logistics strategies
- Train or retrain CS on transportation process as needed
- Support and back up other team members during vacation/sick leave/peak period
- Depending on the group priorities and needs, role is not limited to above mentioned activities
Requirements

- Ability to prioritize competing items and escalate concerns timely
- Stress resistant
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- English C1 level
