Join our client’s Global Marketing Procurement team and support a strategically important spend area focused on Events & Sponsorships across EMEA and APJ.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and execution of sourcing strategies, ensuring efficient, compliant, and value-driven procurement delivery. You will partner closely with regional Marketing stakeholders and global category teams to translate business needs into effective sourcing solutions and support the delivery of high-impact event and sponsorship initiatives.

Job description

Sourcing & Procurement Execution

  • Support the implementation of category strategies for Events & Sponsorships across EMEA/APJ
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing processes (eRFx, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting)
  • Deliver cost efficiencies, value creation, and innovation within the category
  • Ensure alignment between sourcing activities and overall category strategy

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing stakeholders (Events teams, Sponsorship leads) to understand business needs
  • Translate requirements into effective sourcing strategies and procurement solutions
  • Collaborate with Regional Category Managers on strategy execution
  • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring compliant and informed decision-making

Supplier Management & Market Insights

  • Support management of a diverse supplier base (agencies, venues, production, sponsorship partners)
  • Contribute to supplier onboarding, performance tracking, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify trends and opportunities
  • Maintain supplier data and contract documentation (e.g., Ariba or similar tools)

Process Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and Source-to-Pay processes
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and digital/automation initiatives
  • Maintain transparency, documentation, and governance across sourcing activities
  • Support smooth execution of S2P processes and resolve operational challenges

Data & Performance Tracking

  • Analyze data to support strategy development and performance monitoring
  • Maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and category tracking
  • Support KPI tracking, savings reporting, and supplier performance evaluation

Sustainability (ESG)

  • Integrate sustainability criteria into sourcing and supplier selection
  • Support ESG initiatives (e.g., CO₂ reduction, supplier transparency)
  • Contribute to ESG reporting and tracking

Requirements

  • 5+ years of procurement experience, ideally in Marketing, Events, or indirect spend
  • Experience with RFx processes, negotiations, and contracting
  • Exposure to Events, experiential marketing, or sponsorships is a strong advantage
  • Understanding of supplier landscapes and commercial models within the events industry
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Experience with procurement tools and reporting systems
  • Ability to collaborate across regions and cross-functional teams
  • University degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Event Management, or similar
  • Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage
