We are looking for a strong and experienced C-level leader to take over the role of Country Business Leader for our client – a well-established international player in the malt industry.

Job description

Your key mission

You will be responsible for end-to-end leadership of the country business within Czech Republic – from strategy and commercial performance to operations, supply chain, and people leadership.

What will be your responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Define and execute the country’s business strategy in line with global priorities
  • Identify new market opportunities and drive business expansion
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and customer needs
  • Ensuring full compliance and fostering a culture of sustainability and safety across the subsidiary

Commercial & Customer Management

  • Lead sales and marketing activities with a focus on sustainable growth
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure strong alignment with the global sales organization

Operations & Supply Chain

  • Oversee end-to-end operations including sourcing, production, and logistics
  • Ensure efficiency, quality standards, and compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives

Financial Ownership

  • Full responsibility for P&L and financial performance
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
  • Implementation of efficiency and profitability improvements

Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, develop, and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
  • Represent the company externally with key stakeholders and industry bodies

Requirements

What we expect:

  • Long standing leadership experience in malt, brewing, agriculture, or food production
  • Extensive track record in commercial leadership and business growth
  • Experience with operations, supply chain, and production (multiple plants environment)
  • Experience in European / international companies will be highly appreciated
  • Proven ability to manage P&L and drive financial performance
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Natural authority, strategic mindset, and ability to lead transformation
  • Critical & target-oriented state of mind
  • Fluent English and local (Czech or Slovak) language
