Exploring Diversity and Opportunities: Insights from the Jobspin Job and Relocation Fair 2024
On April 20, 2024, the Jobspin Job and Relocation Fair welcomed a diverse group of visitors from various backgrounds and demographics. Attendees arrived from different cities, with the majority hailing from Prague (86%), followed by a smaller part from Brno (4%), while 5% came from other parts of Czechia, and an equal proportion traveled from abroad.
The fair attracted a mix of students and working professionals, with 70% identifying as employed individuals and 30% as students, showcasing a blend of seasoned professionals and aspiring talents.
In terms of nationality, the attendees represented a global spectrum. While 66% were non-EU nationals seeking opportunities in the Czech Republic, 26% hailed from EU countries including the UK. A smaller percentage (8%) were Czech nationals exploring career prospects.
Diverse sectors were well-represented at the fair, reflecting the breadth of industries and job opportunities available. Notably, Administration/Customer Service/Sales (39%), Management (31%), and IT (31%) emerged as popular sectors among attendees, underscoring the demand for roles in these fields. However, there was also significant interest in Marketing & Communication (29%), Creative Industries (23%), R&D (20%), Engineering / Logistics and Accounting / Finance (19%), Hospitality / Catering / Tourism (18%) and HR / Recruiting (17%).
Age-wise, the majority of attendees fell within the 25-34 age bracket (52%), indicating a significant proportion of young professionals eager to advance their careers. Meanwhile, attendees aged 35-44 (38%) also formed a substantial part of the demographic, highlighting the fair’s appeal to mid-career individuals. Although less prominent, there were also participants aged 18-24 (5%), 45-54 (4%), and even a few in the 55-64 age group (1%), demonstrating the event’s inclusivity across different age cohorts.
Overall, the Jobspin Job and Relocation Fair on April 20, 2024, served as a vibrant platform for networking, career exploration, and talent acquisition, bringing together a dynamic mix of individuals and opportunities in the heart of the Czech Republic.
