Czech Labor Ministry Proposes To Peg Minimum Wage to 1/2 of the Average Wage
With the new proposal, the current minimum wage would increase by 17%, from CZK 14,600 to CZK 17,100. The increase would benefit around 140,000 people. The proposed change would come into effect from 2022, according to the Ministry’s plans, but still has to go through consultation and debate. Title photo: Pixabay. Text prepared by Tessa
